Jeanette Bennett

Jeanette Bennett’s current role as CEO of Colliers Utah builds on her career of leadership and innovation in the Beehive State. Prior to becoming the top executive for the state’s largest commercial real estate company, Jeanette spent 25 years telling the stories of Utah in the publications she founded 25 years ago, namely Utah Valley Magazine and BusinessQ Magazine. As CEO of Utah County’s largest media company, she has shaped the storyline and the skyline of the business community. Her company’s annual events including “40 Under 40” and “UV50” have celebrated and connected the movers and shakers along the Wasatch Front.

Jeanette earned  a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in journalism from Brigham Young University and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Business from Utah Valley University. Jeanette was named the Top Woman Entrepreneur in Media in 2018 at a luncheon in New York City, alongside Martha Stewart. In 2023, Jeanette was inducted into the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame. Just last year, Jeanette was named one of Utah’s 25 Most Influential Women by Utah Business Magazine.

In addition to her for-profit business career, Jeanette’s community involvement spans two decades and includes being on the Board of Trustees at Utah Valley University, Thanksgiving Point, United Way of Utah County, Zions Bank and Utah Philanthropy Day.

Jeanette has presented twice at the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York City, and she has continued to be active in promoting family, entrepreneurism, faith and education. Jeanette was a finalist for Utah’s 2019 Mother of the Year, although her five funny kids like to remind her that she did NOT win. She was born and raised in Idaho Falls, where she landed her first job as a high schooler at the local TV station and launched her journalism career.

Jeanette is a cancer survivor, former state senate candidate, and perpetual cheerleader for the state of Utah. She recently became a grandma and has enjoyed every chapter of life. She is thrilled to open this new chapter at Colliers where she brings her skill set to a new seat at the table with her same long-time passion — building people and building Utah.
